Our Polar 66 cutter has an error message - No position counter impulses. It errors out and the back gate wont move and it locks up and non of the keyboard will work. Any ideas from anyone.

    Hi Printdaddy,
we had a similar problem with our polar 66 too.
The back gauge of the polar 66 machine is manually set.
There is a sensor at your right hand side of the back gauge table.
You will have to move the back gauge manually from behind until the sensor on the table aligns with that of the back gauge.
That's how we did it and the machine worked.
    I hope this helps.
    The struggle continues.

Hello. I have similar issue with a Baum 66 which is the same as the polar. I can manually move it and put in position re start the machine and make it scan for position. It all works fine but all of the sudden it gives me the same error 654. I just removed the pc cards and re insert them to check if that might solve the issue.

    hello sir
check if current limiter G3 is active . (switch off the cutter for 30 seconds to activate the current limit )
mount the support discs for the lead screw
try to adjust the motor squarely and the brake if necessary
check the wiring and the connections. it is also possible that the frequency converter or the impeller are defective.
    good luck
