Been really fighting double sheets on heidi speedmaster lately on almost any text weight stock. No problems with cover stock. Alot of skipping (late sheets) to. I set up pretty standard to thin stock short suckers, middle two tilted in, I like running the outside suckers straight, no tilt. I have had some success keeping fingers off the paper, I don't barell them down too tight, air is low, etc. You can see it skip but lowering the suckers or raising the load isn't much help. Longer suckers, same result. I don't know...

  • Replace the suction cups and put a suitable quality on the 0.5 mm thick rubber paper.
Set the suction air at the vacuum compressor.
Tilt the separating suction cups or use inclined suction cups.
Put a little pressure on the clincons and adjust the leaf separation air
But the main thing before putting all these adjustments is to ventilate the pile at the feeder when filling the feed table.

Have you tried bleeding off some suction? If your model press does not have the bleeder coming off the air valve, you could always fab one up.

Sorry for late response, I forgot I had posted this. I ended up simply keeping the end fingers off the paper, kept my load reasonably high, cocked the middle suckers in some, which I normally do anyways, and also our air pressure was too low in the plant, now that it's fixed, the sheets blow like they should, which obviously helped as well, with double and late sheeting
