Facepalm. My lube error message popped up on my QMDI Plus. If memory serves, you can't burn plates with this problem. Is there a way I can safely trick the machine so that I can carry on until my grease comes tomorrow?

Is there a substitute grease I could get at a hardware store. I've got a mountain of printing to get done asap.

There is no substitute grease I am aware of sold at a hardware store that works in place of Optimol Longtime PD2. Do not try to use another grease as the Optimol was designed to be used with the helical cut main drive gears.

Unfortunately I am not aware of a way to bypass this safety feature.

  • That's alright. Puralator was here quick this morning so I'm back in business. Lesson learned. Keep grease in stock.

I am trying to find it too. Anyone knows where to buy in Eastern Europe ?
