    So if you can change ICC profile generation separation values why measuretool generates different charts? Why not the same chart and allow to select required separation when measuring it and making actual profile?

    Is there sense in making testcharts for different separations then?

    If not then what separations values are universal, or should I say best?

    If you take a look at standardized CMYK charts like

    ECI2002CMYK
    IT8.7-3 CMYK

    They have been generated with these values:

    "UseCMYKSep = true Separation =
    { SepID = 6 [preset for inkjet 400 in measuretool]
    StartK = '40' [why make black ink saving by default if you can choose it when generating test chart ?]
    WidthK = '1'
    MaxC = '100'
    MaxM = '100'
    MaxY = '100'
    MaxK = '100'
    MaxCMYK = '400' } "

    So why these charts are made to be printed by settings recommended for Inkjet when they are CMYK charts meaning they will be printed for laser or press use??? Or are measuretool separation presets just plain nonsense that does not mean anything??
