Not all versions are bооtibles . It is theoretically possible, but I prefer to use the system config.

Let him go first with floppy, if he mess something in dos then he will be in bigger problems...
I always do like that, but I also have bootabile disc with LSR host and cpl tools...

You're right. It is better for him to work than a floppy disk. Hopefully start. I prefer the hard drive because of the speed and DOS directory.

    Hi Mr

    you can try self-calibration.
    Have you changed the mercotac?
The problem seems to be simple, I can help you since in my country we cannot leave the house, my email is Accesorios_graficos@hotmail.com

I am very sorry that I am only answering now.

According to your advice, I solved the problem after proper adjustment and carrying out the opening and closing procedure.

    Thank you,

Now I have a similar problem with another station, but about this in a new topic.

On the display it tells you what problem you have; the cpl issue is not complicated

you can send video in emergency mode, to check how the servo motor works, or you can check which version you have,

there is a way to calibrate the cpl, without the console program, you can calibrate in that printing unit, with the emergency program

    First of all, hello.
My machine is roland 300 1999 model
I am having a problem like this. 1 and 3 cpl die in position 4 gives error code 74 at stage 4.
    Why could it be .
Note: Even though I tried calibrating operations, it gives the same faults.

I await your replies, best regards

    Hi sir;
Reset the Cpu, however measure the battery if have the voltage impressed? otherwise replace it.

    2)
Perform a visual inspection : look for loose and broken wires, improperly seated connectors, loose or broken wires
misset switch, missing jumpers. and so on.
    Chech for obviously damaged component(components burned or discolore due to overheating);
    Dust + dirt + tear +wear

    2) Reseating Boards and components:
Edge connectors are a common souorce of problems. Power down the system and remove the PC boards. Examine the edge connector
for contamination and clean with contacts cleaner contacts. Reseat any loose components such as scoketed ICs) . Reseat the
    boards and power up.

    3) Power supply checks:
Check the power supply for missing voltages and voltages out of spec. A digital multimieter DMM can be necessary, as
voltage specifications are quite tight: logic supplies for example: must be within + 5% percent of 5Vdc. All the
multiple supplies and all must be checked.

    hi,
74 is "wrong position clamping motor" so check the potentiometer and motor itself for any defect/damage.

I had the same problem and found the error in the potentiometer. We were able to correct the error by changing the 5k 10 turn potentiometer.

You can install in your laptop from disket cpl service tools, remove x3 from blue box weko in drive side
Conect x3 from blue box to your laptop, but must use converter rs 232 to rs 485, cause x3 in blue box is rs 485, now cpl system controled by your laptop; there is a menu to check every motor inside cpl
