Kord 64 delivery grippers

Please advise as my operator has made the star wheel bar loose and it got caught and the delivery grippers are not straight anymore as the chain delivery can be seen as twisted as right side chain is more advanced into machine about 3' away from the other side.
I don't want to loose anything until I am certain that it will be the right area I am working on. Thanks, any copy of the service manual pages that shows this area will be appreciated.

You've sheared a taper pin, chances of lining the sprocket back up to the exact position to drive the pieces out are very slim...realistically, practically impossible. Normal procedure is to cut the shaft out, and replace with new. Your only other possibility is to drive out the pin on the side that's not sheared (praying to whatever God you hold dear that it's not bent or sheared also) and remove the shaft, clear out the broken pin and reassemble with new pins. After that, hope and pray the sprocket teeth aren't distorted. Am I being negative? No. Just speaking from experience.

Lynden - You'll not find step by step procedure for this repair in any book. It's assumed, as mechanics, we knew how to drive out taper pins, understand the stamped markings on the drive gears must be exactly as they were upon reassembly and whether the gripper bars had sustained any disfiguration. It's also assumed that we could make the decision whether it was worth the time to try to salvage the shaft or just cut it out and put in a new one. It may be beneficial to remove the drive gear so that the delivery sprocket shaft is free wheeling, so that you don't have to use press power to rotate machine in order to remove the gripper bars, which should be your very first task. I have gotten the press fixed but my timing is slightly off as the Suction (paper) is on at the Run position. can anyone please advise on how to set the timing for this area.
