Does anyone know what the usb ports are on the stalk of the Controller monitor. A technician told me it was for them to upload their software, but I heard you can use it to print directly from a usb stick.

There should be two usb ports. One of them is to connect an optional keyboard. The second is for plug and print capability. You are also able to scan to usb as well.

  • thanks but the plug and play I understand is only the ports on the fiery unit and not the stalk of the c6000. The stalk leading to the display unit has 3 usb ports and the fiery has 2. Pluging the usb into the firey unit automatically prints out any pdf file but plugging in to the stalk on the machine doesn't

You are correct. I went and discussed this with one of my production technicians. He said that the usb ports on the display are only used for adding a keyboard, mouse, etc. or, as the technician you spoke with said, for software purposes.
