Komori Coater Question

What type of coater is on a 1997-2003 Komori L28? Do they come with Anilox or do they normally come with a standard roll coater. I am looking to buy a press and some say anilox and some say roll coater. I am not sure what the difference is or which one is better.

every press in the years you mentioned came with wjat it was ordered - no standars.
some came as a 3 roll system and changed to Anilox later.
what is better - depends on what you want to print & coat.
The chamber Anilox coater will supply a more accurate & stable film of coating , and if you want to change that film thiknes , you need to change the Anilox roller.
Rollers are about 3500 $ each and you could need 3-4 minimum to cover reasonable options.
The 3 roll system is more basic , not as accurate , but will enable you to go up & down with the coating film thikness.
