Meny - who on earth is this guy - brainwashed , ignorant or just a clown ? Could he possibly get up with any other answer than that Komori is the only functional press on the market. First question, for how long and how many systems has Komori on the market and how many do you think heidelberg has.
Now to the ink and water stability we had a L40 before - hickeys that you couldn´t believe it ink waterbalance poor. We had a customer that we produced magazine covers for - all four up looked different a problem encountered on other presses occasionally, not on every bloody set of plates. On other presses it could be easily solved by changing the oscillation not so on Komori. No scratches no scuffs Komori says - no you cannot print ANY glossy paper on a Komori without marking problem. If you change ICP or sandpaper on the transfercylinders you still have the edge where they start 6cm from the grippers. Then maybe we should mention the photocells at the infeed always indicating failiure all the time, they are so sensitive that we have seen pallets where the paper mills cutter discs obviosly not has been razor sharp thus generating a slight curve on the paper edge, hardly visible to the human eye but it wont feed until we turn the pile. This problem has been on L40, L28 and on LS40 we have now. I clean the photocells more in a week on Komori than I did on the Speedmaster. I´m so fed up with these guys tied to Komori by their navel strings that I simply couldn´t avod give my point of wiev on this matter. I have worked on all kind of presses all have advantages and disadvantages but i´d say Komori definitely has more disadvantages than Heidelberg. From own field practice. cheers guys!
