Has anyone had experience linearizing a DI Press?
I have the Kodak Direct Suite. Running the Calibrator it images a test file to the press which
measurements are taken and entered into the software. Question is, do you read the printed sheet
or the plate? If the plate, is it removed from the press?

Just not sure how this whole process goes. Have done it plenty of times on the CTP, but the DI seems different.

    Really need some feedback.

    Thanks

I don't know the Kodak DI but I'm sure you don't measure the plate. In priciple it's the same as CTP only with DI you measure only the printed paper.

You need to send a file to the press that has been linearised through the rip. print this file to colour making sure that rollers are set and blankets are good. Then measure this printed sheet and change the calibration of the rip.
