    Hello, I have a Canon IPF5100 printer.

My problem is that black ink won’t dry on any photo paper that I print!

I have tried everything I can think of, bought a brand new set of inks, tried several different semi-gloss and glossy paper, tried many different settings for paper on the printer, and different paper profiles on the software provided (Photoshop plug in).

Even after weeks, if I run my finger over the black areas of the print the ink rubs off. All other ink colours set immediately after coming out of the printer..

If anyone has any ideas, please help!!!!

Help! Black ink won't dry on Mylar (Matte Film) - Canon iPF815

Hi. We have a Canon iPF815 that has a similar problem getting the ink to dry on Matte Film. We are using official Canon ink and the Mylar is generic and has worked for us in the past, just now the ink doesn't seem to dry, even if we leave it overnight.

We are using the CAD Matte Film setting for the paper type. The matte film is probably the issue. If anyone has any thoughts about why this happens or what products work better, I'm all ears!

    Thanks!
