Hi cp We are using one of your machines, Grafopress (type: OS6, No.: 7015), and now we are facing a problem within the tape motor, it doesn't run when the machine is running (when the manual mode activated the motor runs). We are looking for your support to solve this issue.

Normally this type of system in Heidelberg name is: Foil Stamping system right¿ they work in 3 ways: 1) is Mechanical system the mechanism is activaded by Lever for to clutch the system with the gears.the tro ubleshooting is easy when they do not actived. 2) Second :AC motor , is controlled by Small Relais or Contactor, you must test the small relais or contactor, see the coil(open, overwinding, or short ) replace it + contacts if they are faulty: dirty, band condition, etc, replace or missing voltages applied to the coil of the relais or contactor. test if they are broken wires, or lose cables or connector. 3) Third DC motor controlling, by Thyristor, you must test the Electronic Device and see if they are Open or Short Circuit and replace, or the motor if faulty, test the voltage at terminal of the motor, if they are voltage at terminal motor is NOT running the motor is faulty. If they are NOT voltages The thyristor is Faulty, replace.
Thanks a lot the motor works in manual mode well, but i have problem in automatic mode, are you thinking the motor or thyristor is failing?
Good day if the motor work in manual, is signal the motor is Good and Thyristor. The problem will be : Before to Thyristor or Pre- Amplifier in the board, look for Condenser or Capacitor, or Resistors, or diode, or transistor. IC controller, would be defective, colder joints, dry joints . I recommend you if you do not have strong electronic skill, to give the board some TV tech.
