Freeflow Layout Question

Hello Gents...pretty slow week here..

My question is:

On the freeflow server, in queue, under output settings tab, in layout options.. Where the preset different layout options are...

Is there a way somewhere to come up with more layout style options?


Allow me an example to explain:

I do business cards sometimes, usually internal... Sometimes, they bleed to the edge, and I cant impose as many on a sheet.

my sheet size allows for 32 up with no bleed. SO I set queue "custom multiple up" does it automatically.

But...if cards have a bleed, it prints to edge and cuts off, so I have to change number up. Next available number is 16 up. I want to impose 24.

yeah I know...will it save THAT much paper, not really....

but its buggin me. dont like that my options are to destroy two columns, or to spoil alot of paper...

this is one of the areas that makes me miss the nexpress.

Change the Trim Size, Image is smaller than original to the size that includes the bleed

Check into Quite Imposing, you can set up a hotfolder to impose PDFs how you would like.

Peels you must be printing on a 11x17. Unfortunately if you are bust cutting you can get 24 up
however with bleed even with a 1/16 it is really tight. It's not your impo or layout software just simple mathmatics.
Try going to a 12x18 or 11.5x17.5 you should have no problems getting 24 up with bleed.

I wish it were that easy.... I don't really have choice in paper. They are internal prints(free). SO, I use what I have laying around. THe 12x18 I have, was purchased in 2006 back when we had the nexpress LOL! but all I have left of it is matte. the edges are yellow and they look terrible

I have 14x17 which I ran it on, but had to lose a column.

I was just looking for ways to make IGEN more adjustable. The only thing nexpress had on it... you could tell it rows, columns and a few other choices.
