Freeflow Server -> iGen Folder on Mac

This is an odd thing that started to happen, and I thought I would see if anyone knew the solution.

When I export pdfs from Freeflow, they are sent to a server called iGen. We take those pdfs, crop them and send them out as ripped pdf proofs for customers.

When I have the "iGen" volume mounted on my mac, I can access it, but new files don't show up after I export from Freeflow. In order to see any files exported, I have to eject the volume and reconnect. Then the files are there.

This doesn't cause any problems, just adds a few more seconds (WHO HAS THAT KIND OF TIME!?) to the workflow, so I thought I would see if anyone has encountered this, and if there is a fix. I realize it may be mac related instead of Freeflow.

I have not seen THAT particular problem.... are you saying you put them onto the freeflow with a removable disk?

Im not familiar with exporting FROM freeflow, I only get them there when its time to print.

I DO have trouble with it reading usb drives though.

its finicky on which brands/types it will deal with. sometimes one works, other times it doesnt...

Our freeflow machine is a PC, our workflow goes:
Files created on mac -> Dropped to freeflow server -> previewed and exported from Freeflow PC -> picked up on mac from iGen "dropbox".

I think this is just an issue with mac, where the "dropbox" I have mounted doesn't have its contents refreshed. With our other servers, you can see the changes and new files come in as things happen, so it is just odd that this one drive doesn't behave the same way.
