Fiery X2-CP how do I use this?

I just bought an HP DesignJet 5500 and I am printing with UV inks. I use map making software and export the map to a PDF. I print the PDF to the printer through a standard parallel printer cable using the standard Windows 7 printer driver.
The printer came with a Fiery X2-CP. I don't know anything about RIPs. Should I use the RIP to print? I don't know if the X2-CP will work with Windows 7.
