It would be helpful if when members post a question or problem that they respond to any answers or suggestions. I see many posts with some good replies but am left in the dark as to whether the proposed solutions were of any use.

Also, be as specific as possible when asking for help. State the machine model, serial number, and date of manufacture as well as the steps you have taken in trying to solve the problem. There are many serious and sincere members who are taking their time to help others and they deserve to know if their freely offered knowledge was of any help.

This doesn't apply to the few "trolls" who seem the think that they are being cute by offering nonsensical advice and even personal insults. In these hard economic times, many printers are reluctant to call for expensive factory service when many problems can be solved by a little tinkering based on good advice.
