We shattered a gear in a unit and need to disable the ink roller train on a Harris M110. It is my understanding that if we remove the first idler gear after the ink truck mechanism and disable the truck mechanism arm to prevent the oscillators from attempting to oscillate that this should work and disable the ink train and allow us to run the unit without the ink train moving. Has anyone ever done this and is this correct?

In the future if anyone has to do this, you have to remove both small gears coming off of truck assembly, and remove all of the arms off of the truck assembly. Be aware your water oscillator will no longer oscillate but if you're just trying to get by it and using the unit only to lay water down to prevent tracking it will be okay.
