102 speedmaster setting delivery grippers should it be done with the feeler guages or just with a strip of paper

Feeler gauge for pre-tension of the grippers. The thickness should be stamped on each gripper near the cam.
Thin metal shim to set the individual grippers.

it should be mentioned that each individual gripper bar will have its own setting stamped on to it on the operator side near the cam followere. the clearance stamped into the gripper bar is metric so youll need metric feeler guage or a conversion table.
