China Printing Technology Association Executive Vice Chairman, Zhang Shuangru, Visits Reed Exhibitions

On July 10, at the invitation of Reed Exhibitions, Zhang Shuangru, Executive Vice Chairman of the China Printing Technology Association (CPTA), visited the Reed Exhibitions Greater China Shanghai Office. Huang Zhaojun, Vice President of Reed Exhibitions (Shanghai), and Wang Wenjie, Project Director of SinoFoldingCarton, welcomed Mr. Zhang and gave him a tour of the office. The visit was a great success. At the end, both sides declared themselves satisfied with the outcome of the meeting and affirmed their belief that their cooperation at SinoFoldingCarton 2013 will bring significant mutual benefits.

During the visit, Mr. Huang introduced some background to Reed Exhibitions; discussed the history of SinoFoldingCarton and outlined the preparations underway for the 2013 show to Mr. Zhang. The Reed Exhibitions VP said that, as the leading commercial platform for post-press folding carton equipment, consumables, technologies and services in China and across the entire Asia-Pacific Region, SinoFoldingCarton 2013 is hugely influential in promoting green printing and packaging. Expectations are for the show to be integrated into activities that align with its goals of smart, sustainable production and processing, like the countrywide Green Printing China Tour. A further goal is to foster more communication and cooperation with the CPTA in future.

Mr. Zhang expressed his appreciation to Reed Exhibitions for their contribution to the promotion of green printing and packaging. He then went on to give a brief overview of the current situation in the local printing packaging industry and explain the CPTA’s mission. Part of the presentation was an analysis of the current situation and future trends in green printing authentication. He added that the CPTA, together with China’s Ministry of Environmental Protection hoped that the Green Printing China Tour, with Reed’s support, would help more packaging and printing enterprises understand and achieve green printing authentication. Such a campaign has the power to transform the development of the printing industry and make it more environment friendly. With its close fit with current industry development trends and mainstream habits, green printing is the future. It fits the demands of industrial development, as well as those of the general public.

As one of the co-organizers of the Guangdong Stop on the Green Printing China Tour, Reed, in a bid to facilitate sustainable development in the printing industry, has actively promoted the concept of green printing for years.

The Green Packaging Development Forum to be held at SinoFoldingCarton 2013 is also part of the Green Printing China Tour. Local government officials, trade associations, industrial parks and leading companies will gather to discuss the new opportunities brought by green printing and help domestic companies to accelerate their development; boost efficiency; cut energy costs and eliminate pollution.

As one of the biggest post-press events in Asia-Pacific’s folding carton industry, SinoFoldingCarton 2013 will be an environment friendly, professionally managed show produced through Reed’s powerful local and international resources.
