    Hi everyone,

just noseying at a few different b1 presses 5 cols and a coat,

and was wondering apart from cpc 2000 and spray star, were there any major changes or really nice features to have on the later cd 102's early 2000's vs the slightly older 98' era

or can the older cd's hold there own, also whats everyone tend to be running at on them as a rough guide with the coats,

Massive thanks in advance and can't wait to be a part of the forum

    Thanks,

    Tom

    2 main differences...

    1. The blanket cylinders post 2000 are chromed, won't rust....and in tha late 90's presses, blanket cylinders are not chromed.

    2. In the 1998-1999 machines, you have CPC 1.04 Console ; This is not efficient as the CP2000 Console in 2000+ Heidelbergs.

Moreover, in CP2000, You have the option of Presets linking to work with CTP..(CIP-3) ; In CPC 1.04, you vannot do this.

I beleive that both presses run at max 15,000 sph (Not sure though....Speedmasters run at 13,000 in straight)

If you have long jobs runs and don;t need options such as CIP-3 , go ahead and buy the 1998-1999 machine. (Price will be cheaper by 50,000 Euros)

1998 not cd no varios. Nice print quality but MAJOR ELECTRICAL ISSUES. In it for lots of boards at $3500 + each and Heidelberg still cant figure it out. But the excuse is always an upgrade or modification. Go newer if you can.
