My 8100 seemed to have a cut in one of the tubes. I cut the split part off and shortened the tube and that worked for awhile. The machine gives me a bad printhead error and when I boot into safe mode, all the ink in that one tube is gone. I would reset the printhead and boot it back and everything would be fine for awhile.

A tech I emailed back and forth with gave me this answer: "If the tube keeps coming out of the holder on the carriage that plugs into the head I would say yes. If the tube is staying on then I would be thinking more of the sub tank area"

The tube stays on but it keeps giving me the bad printhead error and dumping ink.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks!
