On May 31, Germany’s Bosch Packaging Technology, a top global 500 company, signed a contract to build its biggest factory, and only R&D center in Asia-Pacific in Pujiang County, Chengdu. Work on the plant will commence immediately.

The new factory will span approx. 6.6ha and be built with an investment of RMB 320million. It’s expected to be the biggest Bosch Packaging Technology plant by the time it is completed at the end of 2014.

Bosch’s only R&D center in Asia-Pacific will also be located in Pujiang, giving valuable support to factory operations. The center is now recruiting high-end talent as part of its drive to become a top Sino-German industrial park over the next three to five years.

Other projects, such as the New Chaoyang Company’s oil refresher production, Sichuan Provincial Investment Group’s organic agricultural product demo base and Fujian Jinjiang Chamber’s Jinjiang Industrial Park also confirmed their relocation to Pujiang on the same day.
