Best Printer For This Spec?

Hi there

I am totally new to printing so please excuse my ignornce if I've posted in the wrong section of the forum

I am wanting to print labels with the spec below (image attached). I would be doing runs of 1000 at a time. Maybe 10,000 or more per week.

Please can you point me in the direction of a suitable printer? Any help much appreciated.

Specification

1. Minimum Label size 65*15mm
2. High tack glue (permanent adhesion)
3. Waterproof, label and ink
4. Text printed on 10 point bold, to accept as per sample

That's a tough item to pin down.
I'm not sure of any digital machine with water proof ink/toner.
Maybe an HP indigo.

Many labels are printed using a flexo press on a web or roll. I would look into that area of offset printing.
You could the job digitally on a Vinyl/Pvc stock and then have the stock UV coated..

We run labels here with a CanonIP digital machine on a 4mil Vinyl, then UV coat. Holds up excellent to the elements

??? All toner I've seen is waterproof - BUT, it's not heat-proof or crack proof.

Water will still fade toner, its certainly not impervious to water. It won't run or smudge.
It sure will crack though..

you would need some sort of flexo printed, UV coated vinyl..

Use an HP Indigo and UV lam the sheets prior to finishing. We have had success with club flyer stickers for cars using this system. good luck

Will the Laminate Hold up to the elements?
Our Uv Lam peels when exposed to water..

I've had some xerox toner printed signs outside, unprotected, no roof, no coating for 3 months with no fade at all. But I have not tested longer than that or fully submerged. Does crack when hard-bent around a corner though.

It wont crack very much on vinyl though. If you have a digital press , try running some soft vinyl prints. i think the toner tends to crack do to the nature of paper. If you use the proper grain paper stock and score your prints , the toner holds up pretty well.

Bravo makes good vinyl , there a bit finicky with digital machines, but it runs decent. GPA is another good vinyl supplier (about the same product)

I would try going for a polyester coated paper stock with an over laminate digitally printed this will ensure the label is extremely robust, i have tried to destroy one of these labels withstood 2 weeks in a deep freeze, overnight soaked in water and is oil and lubricant resistant.
