How are you going to make plates for it? Or were you also given a plate maker?
As others have said, reading about it in a book isn't ideal for such a hands-on activity. There's a certain amount of in-person experience needed to know how to adjust the amount of water and why, changing out a blankets, setting up guides for loading plates, making slight adjustments for aligning colors, adjusting for thicker and thinner paper, how to clean the press after you're done, etc. You will only get theory from a book. YouTube would be better than a book if you can't find someone for in-person training. So either hire an experienced pressman, or ask an experienced pressman to come teach you for a few weeks. I'm sure there are pressman at local shops who would be willing to work for a few hours in the evening for some extra cash. You'll also need to learn how to mix pantone colors.
