Automatic Rasising of Feeder Pile Board not Reliable

The machine is Adast Dominant 414, from time to time while printing, the feeder pile board stops going up and at a certain point the machine can no longer reach the paper in order to feed it. As soon as you manually raise or lower the board even a little, the raising goes back to normal. I'll be grateful for any ideas on the subject, I have the service manual but there's no solution there.

Not familiar with that piece of equipment, but look for the height regulator sensors, optical may need cleaning, mechanical maybe a sheet separator air line dragging, dirt causing drag sensing paper when not there. Good Luck
