Long time iGen/Xerox user here. The place I work is looking into replacing the current iGen with a Canon imagePress 10000, just wondering if there are any words of warning/caution about this machine or particular praises to be sung of it.

We've used Oce VarioPrints for a few years now, so a lot of the front end stuff looks familiar, but more curious about the mechanical aspects of it. (From what I've seen, it looks analogous to a lot of Xerox's DocuColor series.)

Same boat here. We are getting a 8000 though. Long time HP Indigo operator. Whole new game for me.

  • CPM any updates on machine status? We've had the C8000 running about a month here. Still getting my feet wet but going ok. Machine has booklet maker but no edge trimmer which I find odd. Also the perfect bind option. Came with GBC punch die but really need a std 3 hole instead. Waiting on a tech to show us the perfect binding operations. Like how the machine runs coated stocks. Nice full rich solids. Fiery seems a bit cumbersome for setup. But may just be me not understanding all it's functions yet. Toner levels drop from 100% to 50% with no other percents in between. Ease of operation is very nice compared to the HP Indigo. So some give and take but pretty happy so far.

can you give me the details of service of the machine "cost of the click, actual volume, number of interventions per month ... etc" thank you in advance.
