It’s reported that the TAPPI International Seminar – ‘Best Practices on the Corrugator’ will be held in Shanghai from 15 to 16 April, 2015, concurrently with SinoCorrugated 2015. TAPPI, the Technological Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry, has been cooperating with Reed Exhibitions, organizer of SinoCorrugated, for years and they have successfully organized two editions of TAPPI International Seminar already.

TAPPI is the world’s leading technology and industry association in pulp, papermaking and paper-processing industries. TAPPI members enjoy access to information, training and knowledge –sharing opportunities provided by the association. Founded in 1915, the association has a history of 100 years and has become the world’s largest specialized association providing services for pulp, papermaking and paper-processing industries. It plays an important role in the development of global pulp, papermaking and paper-processing industries.

Reed Exhibitions began working with TAPPI in 2011 when the two joined hands in holding the first edition of TAPPI International Seminar in China. Since then, SinoCorrugated and the TAPPI International Seminar have been providing advanced technologies, management experience, latest information and precious opportunities for China’s corrugated box manufacturers to better understand the world’s corrugated industry as a whole and have created a new dimension for the development of China’s corrugated industry.

On October 21, 2014, Scott Springmier, Manager of TAPPI’s Pulp and Paper Division, and Eric T. Fletty, Vice President of TAPPI’s Operations Division, met with Alex Wang, Project Director of Reed Exhibitions, and Susie Zhang, Assistant Marketing Manager of Reed Exhibitions, in Shanghai and held talks on joint organization of the TAPPI International Seminar. Thanks to the experience in years of cooperation and mutual trust, the two parties had a pleasant talk and reached a preliminary agreement—TAPPI International Seminar will be held concurrently with SinoCorrugated 2015. After the meeting, both parties expressed high expectations for the upcoming cooperation.

As 2015 coincides with TAPPI’s 100th anniversary, to which TAPPI attaches great importance, it will organize activities celebrating it for a whole year, including events demonstrating its century-long history that it feels proud of and its promising future. At the same time, it will also celebrate enormous achievements that have been made over the years in pulp, papermaking and paper processing industries and express gratitude to industry colleagues for their painstaking efforts. These will be important events for pulp, papermaking and paper processing industries in 2015. Hot on the heels of the TAPPI International Seminar alongside SinoCorrugated 2015, TAPPI will hold a grand celebration in Atlanta, U.S. from 18 to 25 April, 2015, which is expected to bring together all the important figures of the industry. Reed Exhibitions, organizer of SinoCorrugated, will also send representatives to extend its congratulations.
SinoCorrugated 2015 and TAPPI International Seminar will meet again in China, bringing together the elites of global pulp, paper and corrugated industries, who will enjoy together a technology feast and share industry experience and latest information. It is believed that the increasingly frequent exchanges will promote the development of China’s corrugated industry and speed up its integration into the world’s corrugated industry.
