the grippers close alright just not enough to grip the sheet. is there a way to bring them on a bit without taking out the swing arm?

Hello all, just having an issue on my GTo single colour. 5 of the swing arm grippers wont take the sheet, the outer 3 are ok its the middle ones that wont grip. running a3 is fine, but portrait a4 wont work. the sheet is just left on the feeder. everything else seems fine. this just happened...

Thanks lwhiskars, i have decided to replace all 70 claw stands. expensive but it has to be done. They are only going to get worse and havent been changed since i have been on the press so its overdue.

Thank you for your thoughts. we bought UV dye and put it in the oil. went around the machine with a UV lamp and managed to find one big oil leak near the pump and a few other smaller ones. job done, not 100 percent fixed but a huge improvement

Hi everyone, have a 1984 komori lithrone 26 with a fairly bad oil leak, mainly around the delivery section and unit 4. I know its an old press but still, is there certain places where oil leaks are more prevelant? (on any part of the machine) any flash spots that i can check? thanks

It was the solenoid after all. Thank you everybody for your contributions especially presselectronics. It had been rewired before my time and badly, so possibly the solenoid could actually work but I replaced it anyway and wired it properly. Worked first time, back in action!!! Thanks all

Thanks for the replys everyone, the Gto is old enough but in great condition. it is my second machine, i also run a lithrone 26. not that familiar with the inner workings of the GTO, so i dont know what or where the variable speed pulley is and the variator also.

when i run the GTO it makes a bit of a grinding sound, very audible when i stop it. have attatched a video. its runnign fine but im worried about the souund, motor maybe? Thoughts anyone???
