Can anyone recommend someone to service our polar cutters? We are located in upstate NY. Used a company called Colter Peterson but they have become unresponsive to our requests.

Does the clamp go down when you press the foot pedal by doing a pumping action like press-release-press-release? Or it just goes down when you do a cut?

Hi PWInc,

We are also experiencing a problem with the clamp on our Polar 137.

The clamp does not move when the foot pedal is depressed. We can hear a sound coming from the hydraulics but no movement.

However, when we press the buttons to cut, the clamp comes down with the knife.

So it seems to be working on the high pressure cycle but not the low pressure cycle.

We have observed some very fine air bubbles in the oil after a few cut cycles.

This machine is a new installation - 1999 machine imported from Germany in April.

Any advice here would be appreciated.
