Ran conventional sun chemical ink for years, never had an issue with it.

Replace weekly. We do ours weekly on both the sheetfed and the webs unless we have a pressman that emulsifies and spits a bunch of ink back into the water system or if we run a very alkaline paper. Since we have to flush the system after that we replace the filter anyway.
