  1. Hamada 234 C tinted bars appearing

Check the ink form roller stripes to their adjacent oscillator rollers in the ink train. I've found that as rollers shrink they can slip while running. Even though there may be a good stripe to plate if the roller is slipping on the oscillator roller due to shrinkage you'll get wide bands like...
  2. problem with stripes Ryobi 3304HA

This looks like a single color job? If it is look at the third(lower) ink form roller. Kind of looks like the form to oscillator pressure is light and the roller may be slipping. My first go to is just to turn it off at the night latch and see if there are any changes for the better.
  3. Scented overprint varnish

Anyone here know a source for scented overprint varnish? I know there are companies that will print and use scented varnish but was looking for a source for just the varnish to be able to print and varnish in house.
  4. Hamilton Type Cabinet For Sale

Cleaning out the studio today and realizing I have to let this beautiful Hamilton California Job Type cabinet go because I need the room. It’s 6ft wide and has 48 drawers (not all matching) It still has some of the original labels from when it was used at the Tribune Printing Plant in Downtown...
  5. ink problems ryobi 3304H with PCS-F

I definitely will. We hope to make it back this year. Good luck with the press.
  6. ink problems ryobi 3304H with PCS-F

Sorry I meant to address that. That's normal otherwise you might flood the system with fountain solution. What I've done before is, mainly if I just want to stop and quickly reload paper, I'll stop feeding paper then hit the second button down to keep the press on water. Load paper quickly then...
  7. ink problems ryobi 3304H with PCS-F

seanryder-I grew up in London until I was 15 in a place called Earls Court. Then I moved to the States. I lived in Devon most of the last 27 years but just happen to be in the states right now. Devon is really beautiful, we are on the south side, quite similar to Newquay. We lived in Bounds...
  8. ink problems ryobi 3304H with PCS-F

Ten clicks on the metering roller is a good place to start when rollers are new. I'm not the operator of our 3304HA anymore. I did run it since it was new and for the first 16 years. I've since moved to sheet fed digital and roll labels but still frequently help the current operator with...
  9. ink problems ryobi 3304H with PCS-F

Its a good system. Use good chemicals (distilled water, fountain concentrate, alcohol substitute). Use best water rollers you can. The metering roller is the most critical a good water form roller will go a long way too. Hows things in the UK? My wife is from London and we lived there for three...
  10. Used Crestline or Kompac for Ryobi 3304H

Aberg3860, where abouts in NW florida? My wife and I vacation in Pensacola Beach fairly often.
  11. Used Crestline or Kompac for Ryobi 3304H

Definitely Kompacs. Especially if your printing isn't super critical.
  12. Used Crestline or Kompac for Ryobi 3304H

Well when we were really busy we'd change water rollers every year and ink rollers every two years. But now that we've moved a lot of smaller runs to our digital machine the press isn't as busy so we can add about a year to the roller change frequency. If you only run the machine 1 week a month...
  13. Used Crestline or Kompac for Ryobi 3304H

The Ryobimatic system can be finicky but well maintained (replace rollers regularly using OEM products) will give better results. OEM rollers are more expensive though. If I had to choose between your other two options I'd go Kompac. But, even those however run best properly maintained with...
