If you have the proper capital you should look at buying into an existing web printing company. I am sure they would be happy to listen to any reasonable offer.

We have been selfpublishing children's books for over 5 years and personalization would be something we would be happy to do. You can find all our prices on the website so you can get an idea of what it may run you per book. We will have to add a extra charge for the variable data but we discuss...

We may need some help with our 5000. Do you travel in NY? I should know this afternoon if we will need some help.

I would look to grab an old HP indigo off ebay and get started with that. Make sure you buy digital finishing equipment also. Good luck this industry is a daily grind. But what can you do inks in our blood!

Thanks! we just filtered our first batch and it seems to be working fine. Only time will tell. Using this method will save a lot of money over time.

In the United State most shops range from 18HR to 26HR. I feel the wage is going to climb in about a year because of lack of quality pressman avail. most pressman are getting out of the trade

We have figured that you can get 2500 clicks per can. It will vary from job to job depending on coverage. its way cheaper to buy the supplies than get them for our friends at hp.
I was just wondering if anyone has filtered and reused imaging oil in the HP indigo digital printing press? we are going to send it through a 10micron filter before adding into our 5000. Does anyone know if i need to add anything into it?
We always figure 200 sheets per color and 3% waste per operation in the bindery and we never have issues with being short. But it also depend on what press you have. I hope this helps
We have been using our old wooden rack also that we used to store our films in. We always put the plates in chipboard folders before storing to eliminate scratching. Don't forget to gum them good!
