I was just wondering if anyone has filtered and reused imaging oil in the HP indigo digital printing press? we are going to send it through a 10micron filter before adding into our 5000. Does anyone know if i need to add anything into it?

I have a 1050 and has already filtered out (and filter if necessary) has no problem. Can also filter out more than once.

Thanks! we just filtered our first batch and it seems to be working fine. Only time will tell. Using this method will save a lot of money over time.

Well, I run a 5500 and it has an Imaging Oil Recycling System so we don't use half of what we used to use on our 3050. It saves alot with that system but I think it's only found on the 5500 and above.

What do you guys do with your old imaging oil? After you can't use it anymore? I am working on starting up a company to recycle it. Is that something you would be interested in?

    Thanks, K
