The copier does the white margin/border on it's own. There is no way to get rid of it when you're using the saddle stitch feature. It sucks, I know. You have to run them flat on oversized sheets (12x18) because your images look like they're supposed to bleed. Then you have to cut them down to...
Is an easy way of explaining an 11x17 booklet. Use Command Workstation.
Once you send a file to the RIP, you will see it on there using said program. Right click on the file and select "Properties". Make all the necessary adjustments.
In your case you want to make sure the paper size in the...
We use Hammermill (24lbs - 32lbs) or Mohawk (Gloss, C1S or C2S). Always get the 12x18 size. Run 30 up business cards, 2 up letterhead w/ or w/o bleeds. Cut it down to whatever size you need. Always good to start big, IMO. That way you store less paper and have the option to use it on many jobs...
First, I'd have the software on the RIP flashed and updated, this fixed all quality issues for me. Make sure the print drivers on your computer are updated, also. Then I'd have the transfer sheet replaced. Make sure the paper setting is on the correct paper type, too. On that type of machine, I...
Use digital NCR paper. It's runs great on digital copiers. No jams and no damage done to the drums. I use Canon products. An iR7095 (BW) and an iRC5180 (4 color). The 5180 isn't a "production color" machine, it's a "business color" machine. So that's the draw back. Color isn't as vibrant. But...
A simple tray alignment should do the trick if you are having issues. Leave the mechanical stuff to your techs. That way you won't void any warranty or contract which makes you liable for damages.
We use a dealer who sells Canon products. We have the capability to print up to 12x18 and we always get charged a single click no matter the size of paper. Of course you still get charged an additional click when you print 4/4 because it counts the second side. But yes, you should always try to...
I am using 5.0.1 and I love it. I am more than okay with the server list and clicking on which server I want to access. It gets too confusing figuring out which file is which when you have all the files listed from both machines in one window, anyways. Only gripe is that it defaults to the...
One of the possible area to look at should be the HVT Cable connection to the Attraction Brush assembly inside the Transfer Drum. A poor connection or short between the Cable and the Block will generate a E071 / 0001 code.
Note: this symptom can also cause 0150 and 0350 Jam Codes.
The copier will fold a single sheet, still. You still have to have booklet mode "on" and have the staple option set to "saddle stitch". It will never use staples on a single sheet. You also have to make sure your document is in a single 8.5x11 page layout, in order from page 1 to whatever, to...
I am printing from a Mac, running Snow Leopard. I have tried outputting the same file from Quark 7.5 and Indesign CS3. Both outputs give me blasted images, clean fonts; but the fonts are bolder by almost a point. I am using true font types (TT, PS). Not faux fonts.
These problems didn't start...
