We recently purchased this press for one or two color jobs and we are having problems with toning everywhere.
When we load a plate immediately the plate , blanket and impresion cylinder gets inked. The prints
    also come out completely toned.
The water doesnt seem the clean completely the plate like our other presses...is this normal with these presses?

    Any help appreciated. Thanks

    Here are some photos.

Do you develop them correctly on press? Just try to a few more revolutions with dampener engaged and then drop ink rollers for about 5 revolutions.
If that won't help, there must be rollers settings issue.

Hello, I already described this problem in another post.
it is a rise in thickness in the blanket cylinder and plate holder to avoid this problem it is necessary to reduce the ink tack, reduce the wetting at the limit of lubrication, improve the wetting values (ph, conductivity and ipa), change the quality of the support use a printing support with a better coating of paper or cardboard.

also a badly exposed plate, developed and gummed can give this problem, and finally in general it is necessary to reduce the temperature of the printing unit if the machine has a thermoregulation circuit in your case you do not have it but you can control the ambient temperature of workshop and keep it between 18° c and 22° c

we have checked all these things and we still have the same issue. We will check all the roller settings and then see again.

Do you use these plates only on this machine, or you have more machines and these plates are ok at them?
Is your plate maker producing different plates for different machines and are they ok?

We are using a different brand for this machine. The plate maker is the same. When we first got the machine it was printing well, something has changed.. water , ink are all the same..

And plates are from the same bath as when you bought the machine? I mean that may be something wrong with plates themselves

Is that the same on both units?
It is not the machine issue to me. There is something to do with plates.

Right I'm not taking chemistry for plates I'm talking ink/water. Which solution are you using saphira works really good on those little presses. Or you could try an old school trick by putting a little cream of tarter in the mix

There is no chance to plate looks like that because of press chemistry to me. I'm pretty sure it's plate/plate maker issue

Do you use plates straight after they are made? Or plates are waiting few days to be use? If yes, do you keep them just in the daylight or you cover them from light?
