XPE-13-5007 Water Collection System Fault

This is behind the main unit of the iGen, the big door that swings open in the back. In the bottom left corner there is a black box that is where the water pump is stored. It should be vibrating. You can try smacking it to try and release the float, if a stuck float is your problem. Otherwise you may need a new pump.

  • ah... yes. bet i know... could be wrong give it a shot.

get a bucket. open the BIG door. youll see the hose going into the collection pump. there is a one way valve on that that gets full of "GUNK" its gross. THis hose is for the water draining off the dehumidifier system, to be pumped out.

pull hose, if it is full of water, place it over bucket. pull one way valve off. water will spew out quickly.

go wash teh one way valve with hot water, detergent...and a brush.

if hose NOT full of water, 90% certain youll need the pump. :) or take apart and clean the float, as cargopantsman says.

  • Our tech ended up poking a hole in the hose near the top to the machine to allow air get in so water could flow out. Cleaned check valve over and over again. Replaced check valve. Only by poking a in the hole in hose fixed it permanently.
