Xerox DC250 replace finisher with simple catch tray

Hello printers!

I have old Xerox DC250 with long delivery - finisher that is connected to the printer by cable.
So it looks like this:


I want to remove it and use Simple Catch tray.


But problem is that:
When I disconnect finisher cable, machine shows error and stops...
Is there anything that needs to be conected when Simple Catch tray is installed? Or short some pins in connector?

Did you get it? When we had one we could roll away the finisher and unplug its data cable and reboot the machine and the catch tray worked fine.

 

Hello, yes! It seems it only needs to make "hard" re-boot, so
1. Turn printer off
2. Unplug from power
3. Unplug the finisher, wait a minute
4. Plug to power
5. Turn on
6. Its working! Just make some simple catch tray from a piece of plexi or plastic
