Hi,

I have a DC250 and I'm printing mainly SRA3 colotech+ using 250gsm 300gsm paper.

I'm having a problem with random marks showing on the print which could only be describe as looking like a dark purple-grey water marks. The problem came then stopped for about 2000 sheets now it's back again.

I have recently replaced all the drums and the fuser has about 45,000 on it.

The actual print is perfect but these random marks are making it unusable.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

I'll try and add some pictures.

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Rusty

Test A - B - C - printing Blank pages - I tested 3 sheets at a time these were the worse of the 9 sheets all together. The others had little to no marks.

Looks like a "Cloud Defect" The eyeball test says the IBT Belt is not cleaning as it should.

Did you attempt to clean the IBT Belt? (Not suggested)

Try replacing the IBT cleaning blade, it's a fairly inexpensive solution.

    Thanks for the help.

No never cleaned the IBT belt. Opened it up yesterday for the first time to have a look up underneath the ROS but all looks pretty clean.

We don't use it much during the year only during october through to december. It has a total of 329653 on the clock.

I'll have a look in the manual is replacing the IBT cleaning blade a tricky job? I saw a video about changing the belt itself.

    Again thanks for the advice.
