Wohlenberg mcs-3 TV (back gauge reference)

    Hello, first time message so please be gentle

    We have a wohlenberg MCs that starts up ok but when we try to reference the back gauge it simply shuts down the machine (turn off the main motor and computer)

    Any ideas ?

    Does it beep as if there is an alarm when it turns off?

    Please send a pic of the front of the machine as well as electronics in the cabinet. This will let me know what version it is.

    Ps what I have noticed is when I try to drive the back gauge forward the fast AND slow contactors are going in.

    You have a system 86. The error only happens when you try and move the backgauge?
    To start the main motor do you have a large black switch or small pushbuttons? Those are not shown in the pictures you sent. If its a black switch, manual mode is acheived rotating it counter clockwise. If its pushbuttons that mode is acheived pushing the yellow button.

    Hi,

    It has the small buttons to start the motor,
    The fault only occurs when trying toove the back gauge backwards, it comes forward ok,
    As I said both fast and slow contactors energise at the same time when trying to go back.

    You have a bad contactor probably. Check k90 or K100 to see if it is stuck.
