Wohlenberg MCS 2 TV - 115 machine not starting.

Hello All,

On starting the machine there is one high tone beep sound coming and the display is blank.
None of the functions including motor is working.

Machine is completely dead for now.
Please help.

Test the contactor k0 +k22 have not pulled in
N/O from k0 IS Closed.
Test if the main switch Q1 IS O.K,if will Hold itself??
Test with DMM fuse for open F12+F1 see the schematic diagram
Check LED H2L if are LIT for Light barrier

I have checked all the contactors, fuses, relays mentioned by you. All are OK.

The problem started after changing the battery in CPU. The machine is not starting and dead at present.
The current in transformer (which is connected to the CPU) is OK, but the supply from CPU to the other (BIG) transformer is not coming.
On switching on the machine the main switch holds on, a single high tone sound only; other tones are not coming.
The TV has only one cursor blinking on the top right side, as in the photo.

1)The 24 v o l t d , c . voLtages for the power c i r c u i t s are made a v a i t a b l e
via the quenching elements Z5 ( I 3 4 ) or ZI3 (140) and the r e c t i f i e r s
V I 4 7 ( 1 3 4 ) or v47 ( 1 4 0 ) .
F3 ( I 4 l ) fuse p r o t e c t i o n of the 24 v o l t d . c . voltage for k n i f e c l u t c h
Yl, clamping magnet Y2 and the o p t i c a l cut i n d i c a t o ! ( 1 0 A ) .
F5 ( I 3 5 ) fuse p r o t e c t i o n of the 24 v o . I t d . c . volLages for magnetes
( r 0 A ) .
If everything is o.k ,2) test the LED On in relay board. the k22 must be pull in via relais k216.Very important
If everything is o.k
You must sure, that 3) every FUSES in the machine is O.k and the element that i instruct you to test is working o.k
Of course the main trafo, will be 4) Test the Input Voltages for 380VAC is your voltage in your country? or 440Vac
and if there with NOT variation of 10% more o less, test the 5) secodary voltage in the main transformer, and see if there are
o.k according with the schematic diagrams, and see 6) if there are the +24VDC??
7) If the Lamp on H1, in Key S6? The motor does not Start.

Hi!

We bought a 1992 Wohlenberg MCS2 TV from Australia, and we are having problems:

Machine is starting up, but:

Air Table is not working
Not moving forward and backward
Cutter blade does not move down and is stationary

The monitor is working, but there is an error code "DATA BLOCK" on the screen.

Any help for workaround and fixes is highly appreciated.

Since the cutter is Turn On But not:
A)Work to the control: Please make this Test:
1)Q1 main swith pass the voltage: 220Vac or 380Vac(depend of your system you have in his country)
2) T1 Main transformer of the machine Primary Input:220Vac or 380 Vac, Measure thE FUSES F12
3) If there are o.k measure the output or secondary of T1 in Bridge Rectifier +24VdC ,TEST THE FUse F4(REPAIR or replace)
4) If there are o.k go to filter Z28+Z12
5) 220vac supply to LIGHT bARRIER +mICROPROCESSOR AND Relay PCB
6) TEST the T2 transformer if supply the Main Contactor KO goes ON ?, tHIS KEY Contactor connect all machine FOR ALL FUNCTION!!!!!!
7) Test the fuses, and you can make a Little proof with a Little Pencil, touch the KO contactor, and keep it, and executes all functions if they
work you must Retest the circuit according with his Wiring Diagram.(AIR TABLE, BACKGAUGE,ETC)>
Let ME know any question or doubt.

You have a Systems 86/90 machine, and it requires the CPU to be running, in order to start.
Your CPU is not starting up, as indicated by the flashing (Hardware generated) Cursor.

If this happened just after changing the battery then :- MOST LIKELY :-
When you changed the battery, you most likely lost the Machine Parameters, or they became corrupted BUT -- that in itself would not stop the machine from starting.
Most likely you damaged the CPU by using a non-static safe soldering iron to change the battery, and typically, this blows one or more of the ram chips.
Unfortunately, the CPU Probably needs to be repaired, to component level.

Don't feel too bad.. I have seen this happen numerous times when the Battery has been replaced by the Owner, with an inappropriate soldering iron.

You have power to the CPU because the display has a blinking cursor, and there was a beep (That is a good start !!)

What Green Leds on the CPU are lit when the cursor is flashing on the screen. ?

Need a picture of what is ON

Confirm that all the RED leds on the CPU are OFF

On the right side of the machine, in the side cabinet do you have
(a) One large Board with rows of Transparent Case relays
or
(b) A card rack with Smaller circuit board, that have varying number of little Red Leds on their fronts.

Does your Light barrier have 6 round glass windows on each arm, or a dark Plexiglass inner faces.

Are there any color lights that are ON or blinking on the LEFT side, If so what color(s)

Are there any color lights that are ON or blinking on the RIGHT side, If so what color(s)

Anyone that is going to help you will need this information, plus a little more depending on your answers to the above.

(Unfortunately, it is a total waste of everyone's time if you do not answer these diagnostic questions)

Good morning I had the same problem with my guillotine. The battery was discharged; I got the reset plan, but I don't know how to get it ready. I always have between 50 and 59 and go ahead and then when it is the most forward or 2.5 cm, no longer goes back.
I would appreciate any help please

Good morning, I have a problem with a Wohlemberg guillotine, the battery discharged and everything was erased, I got a reset plan and managed to recover some things, but I can't get the squad ready, start the machine I take it to the point of reference (50cm) and then I can bring it forward but it does not go backwards, I cannot use any program because the rule is not correct, I do not know how to regulate this, could you help me please

Hello i have same machine .today i have some problem in safety barrier..code 1 appears in 7 segment display after using some time the knife stop moving down and code 8 appears in 7 segment display in photo barrrier.then i turn off machine for 1 hour.after that i turn on again every thing fine for 30 minutes.again same problem arise..plz help me in this regard...

Dear Chock. I have a Wohlenberg MCS-2TV guilloine that has a problem that no one locally can fix (so far). The motor will stop running but the computer is still going. So I have to restart. Sometimes when I turn on the switch, instead of 2 beeps, there is only 1. If I tap the front computer panel, the second beep sounds and then I can start the motor. Many parts / contactors / chips/ etc. have been replaced, but still it is happening. Can you make any suggestions please. Thanks. Sorry in advance, I am not familar with this website and and can not work out how to start a new thread / conversation.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, we do not have a full set of wiring drawings. We are missing the drawings for the control / computer unit. Do you know where we can get a set from. The machine number is 3279-007
