who have ikon cpp650 printer controller's system software?

My customer has a ikon cpp650.but few days ago,the printer controller (Fiery S450) can not boot.So I need system software DVD to reinstall.I have only Konica Minolta c6500 ic-303 system software,but it seems not work on the ikon systyem.



Who has the ikon cpp650 controller system software and user software DVD?If needed,I can pay it.Thanks a lot!

i had the same problem, just yesterday and i fix it only by reinstalling the FIERY fireware installed on the windows. If you want you can pm me and i will tell you how you can do it or i can write it here so everyone else knows if something like that happen.

Well first of all go to drive E: in your controller and you should see a folder call "Fiery" (in my case it was the letter E: in your maybe it will be other letter, but when you go to the letter you will see it in the root of the letter you dont have to go inside other folders it will be there)

Copy this folder and make a back up of if you have flash paste it there or just paste it in other drive. This will be your backup in case something happen.

Next go to this website: http://filehippo.com/download_unlocker/ and download and install this software it will help you find the services later you have to stop from the task manager!

Next thing is to press Control+Alt+Delete and open the task manager and go to Services and close 5 services. To find out witch services you have to shutdown go to "Fiery" folder and right click with the mouse and press on "unlocker" then try and delete the folder. It will tell you that the folder cant be deleted, because it is in use with some other software in your computer currently running, we need to stop this software-services. See witch services is using the folder and from the task manager stop them all. I think there were 5 services. When you do that the bar on the top will disappear, dont worrie. When you ready delete the whole folder.

Next thing is to go to drive C: where you should have a backup copy of the setup file so you can install Fiery again. (If you dont have the backup copy let me know i will try to upload it somewhere in the internet it is around 200 MB). Find setup.exe and start it and install the Fiery. Restart when down. Wait 2 minutes (i have made a stop-watch and it is exactly 2 minutes and 10 seconds) before your Fiery bar on the top is connected and no longer say "Starting... Please Wait"

according to your post ,I do all the things you told me.But the problem isn't solved.I think your method can only solve the problem which the fiery software is damaged by some reason.But my problem is that the hardware and software are ok,but the software edition is not is Ikon software nor Konicaminolta.

What do you think your problems its comming from? What error you get? Are you stuck on "Starting... please wait"? or what?

Sorry for my poor english!I mean it is different between the server software of Ikon cpp650 and Konica Minolta c6500 though the server model is the same(fiery s450).If you reinstall system software of the ikon cpp650 using the dvd of c6500,the server can not boot completely.it will shut down automatically after the "idle" information appear

In order to solve this problem,I must find the dvd of Ikon cpp650 system software.

to rick_cri:I have solved this fault yet.The KM system software is different from the Ikon system software.That is the big problem of it .Finally I find one Ikon cpp650,and get out the hard disk,and duplicate one.then installing the hd to my printer.Everything is ok now!

to shawn Xia: thank you so much. I have the same problem but with a Ikon Fiery Pro80 (grey version) but i didn't find one copy of the System Software. If you know someone that could help me or have a backup of the Ikon's DVDs, please let me know.

Hi Surgeon, I did not get this dvd. I finally solved this problem buying an external controllers IC - 305 and I do not regret. Speed, stability and printing quality is significantly better.
