White / Colourless Lines on Scanned Images

    When I scan a document using either the flat bed or the document feeder, the scanned image has a pattern of regular white (or colourless) lines across it - see attachment.

    This has only just started happening. Can anyone tell me what is causing the problem and / or what I can do to fix it?
