    Friends i need some help from you.
    I come from digital printing environment and don`t have too much experience with offset but i have opportunity to expand my business and i need you to help me choose the press for work that i want to do.
    The problem is that machine must be B1 format and the jobs that i want to do will be on thin papers, paper for labels 70 gr. paper 4/0 and 80-90 gr. coated papers 4/4. I`m afraid that this thin paper will wrinkle on this big format when he passes through press?
    I have looked to some prices and found out that i can fit to some 1990-1995 Heidelberg SM 102 Z (two color machine).
    So my question is will this machine can print on this thin papers without problems? It would be great if someone who has worked on this kind of machine can give me his experience of this press.

    Most Presses will handle 70G without Wrinkling, The only thing you need to watch out for is maybe Double imaging. How much have you got to spend?

    I have about 60-70.000 eur. Also can you tell me what equipment i should buy with this press.
    There is many options like cpc 1.02, cpc 1.03, cp tronic, autoplate, washing devices, IR dryer, some machines also have electrostatic devices in feeder and delivery (which i think will be useful for this thin papers), etc...
    So is the construction of this machine all the same for this ages and there is only difference in equipment? Also what equipment justifies the price and what i don`t need. My main jobs will be regular prints 4/0 and 4/4 on papers from 70 gr. to 300 gr. so no cardboard or plastic etc.?

    cheers

    If i were you rather than spending 60-70K on a 2 col autoplate press, but a 4 colour prs which is older and has less automatin, believe me it will be a struggle to put 70 gram through the press 4 times, twice for 4 col and double sided.
    if you want a b1 and you can accept a machine from the mid 80's i know one for 45000 euros
    let me know
