We are currently looking into replacing our hard-copy proof with color accurate soft proofing to reduce expenses and delivery time.

We've narrowed down the field to the following three products however we would like some honest feedback from real users of these softwares.

    Kodak Insite
    Dialogue ES
    Remote Director

    Thanks for your help!

Most of the this service providers will let you test before you buy, BUT same goes for "Web-to-Print" service providers, In my opinion, companies that do not disclose their prices up-front are shady and in any way it is a bad business, they spend countless effort to represent their services, lay-out packages, etc and than there is no price! Not only it is shady, it is idiotic - if you have the goods - price them up, nobody has to call to hear it, what if someone doing it after hours? Imagine the supermarket without the prices - pick the goods, we will tell you prices at the register or call sales rep... If you want honest/descent - start with provider who disclose their prices right on the web-site for a start...

    Thanks UnlimitedBT,

We're past the pricing issues, what we would like is to hear is more about the likes and dislikes from individuals that actually use these products.

Viki Solutions - Color Accurate Soft Proofing and Collaborative Workflow

I would recommend more research as your list includes some companies with older technology and other support related issues. Check out Viki Solutions which came from Creo/Kodak with over 25 years experience including building Kodak InSite.

    Viki Solutions Vera:

-color accurate cloud or locally hosted solution
    -task based workflow
    -fully customizable
    -automation and workflow integration available
    -easily replaces Kodak InSite
-has revision compare view and other packaging specific features
    -fanatical phone-based, real people support

Alternatively the API is available for integration.

    Cheers,

    Chris
