Does any one know as to what speed you can run on a UV press foil stock ,white down first ,then four color pro plus one sp color. ?

what size are pants for a kid ?

right , depending on age , build ,.... can you tell ?

same with UV

If your stock is good , ink fresh lamps set up in the right way , no reason why you can't run it at 10000 , may be 12000 , may be more

If your ink is not fresh , lamps lack power , bad stock , high damps....you could fail at 5000....

Some systems get to full power only at 9000 S/H , some sooner

Your question can not be answered right with out details - ball in your court again :-)

  • I was printing manager in a company that was all UV printing on B1 Komori, size 5 Komori and Roland 908. We printed foil board and foil paper a lot. Our target running speed was 10,000 sph, on the floor target 8,000. This was usually achieved. Maintenance of presses and drying systems was 100% and planned. The best inks and chemistry were used and the printers were very experienced. Some jobs ran faster, some slower but over a month the target speed would be reached.

I run a Heidelberg UV CD74, for plastics we run around 8,500 sph and paper about 12,000 with the lights at 100 percent intensity. Fresh bulbs, clean reflectors and use a lean fountain solution mix around 3 ounces per gallon or less if possible.
