Currently our shop uses Dynastrip but we're looking to update. We've gotten recommendations for Quite Imposing and Ultimate Impostrip. Ideally we'd like to be able to import our current catalog of templates into a new program. What have your experiences been with updating your Imposition from Dynastrip and why do you like/dislike about your current impo software?

We are using Preps. it seems to work OK. I am looking for the large version of Dynastrip, you wouldn't happen to have an extra dongle for sale, would you?

Unfortunately not. We don't have access to our Dongle anymore for our V to C and are actually in the market for one as well just as a backup. We still need Dynastrip for imposition for our analog presses

We do have two of them and only use one. Both are the 32x32 size. Is yours the 32" or the unlimited? If your press was 32" or less, you could get by with the 32x32 Dynastrip just fine. I'd be willing to trade you both of mine for your large one.

We have the unlimited because we have a 32" press as well as a 48" and we use it for both. Unfortunately we dont have access to our dongle to trade. That was why we were in the market for a new imposition solution in the first place. we'll be dead in the water for our analog presses if that computer kicks it

Yea, we were in the same boat, we bought a 36" press, the reason we added Preps since our Dynasrip only goes to 32". I really looked at all of them and Preps seemed to be the best of them, but it's not without it's quirks. It is no where near as easy to use as Dynastrip, to me, that is. I come from a film strippers background when I started using Dynastrip 20 something years ago and it was almost a seamless jump for me. We have two computers here that have Mojave on them just in case one kicks it.

I’ve been in a similar situation when updating imposition software for our catalog printing (چاپ کاتالوگ) We moved from Dynastrip to Ultimate Impostrip, and the transition was smoother than expected. Importing templates wasn’t seamless, but we managed by recreating key ones we used frequently. I like Ultimate Impostrip for its automation options—it’s great for handling complex layouts. If maintaining compatibility with analog presses is critical, make sure the software supports your workflow efficiently. Let me know if you need tips!
