This is a new thread for
Older Triumph 4850. I deleted this post not
On top for previous thread I had submitted.
I hope I am following the rules if not please tell me how to do what I'm trying to do thank you

Wish the guide mentioned above would work on my old analog 4850? It's all relays and switches no error screen to read. My s/n is 518842. I'm old helping the new owner of my old store. Trying to get up off the floor fell into machine breaking key off. I can get the key out and new one made. My clamp won't return when I release the buttons. I had this problem 3 years ago but don't remember what I did. I do remember how to get to the relays by removing the top. It looks to me the portion on gears that follow the acme threaded shaft has gone past its limit and is in a bind. I need to free the backstop and see where the middle of the travel is. If I need to reposition those gears to the clamp do I have to remove the timing belt? How does it come off. I tried loosening the big timing gear but it doesn't budge.

how do I get the clamp to retract? I seem to remember something about resetting a relay but my brain is to old to remember. Appreciate any guidance.

What led me to this was trying to adjust the blade to the backstop adjuster for depth of cut. Just hit and miss and measuring. Would a parallel bar between the blade and adjustable backstop help. Is there a way to keep the blade down and the clamp up so I can loosen the backstop and rotate the handle till the backstop self aligns with the parallel bar between blade and backstop (has to be loosen backstop bolt and set screws to work) then tighten the bolt on the back? Or is there a better way? I made it jam so I have to be back when they open to fix my screw up.

also there are two black bottoms on the face of the machine. They are part of a switch feeling the back of the panel. I push them and nothing happens? What are those black push buttons for?
