thinning aqueous coating

    What is better for thinning aqueous coating? tap water or distilled water

    Are you talking about as you reach the end of the drum, or are you talking about thinning it on a freshly opened drum? If you referring to a freshly opened drum, then i would strongly suggest that you purchase an aqueous coating thats ready to run from the start. If you don't use coating all that often, then I would suggest that you buy it in smaller drums so that it doesn't sit around too long. My preference has always been to run it out of the drum, but if you must use the bottom of the barrel then I would recommend that you open a fresh drum and use enough of it to make room for the last of the old drum and then top off the new stuff and mix thoroughly.
