Thick Card stock in IGEN3

peels

tree killer :)
Got it to pull/print fine...but the stacker is making a mess of it. It is 15 pt C1s, 12.5x19.

"stacker registration fault" The paper slides back on the stack....

Anyone got any tricks up their sleeves to make it stay running?

much obliged.

For best performance, stocks that weigh over 300 gsm should be sent to the stacker top tray, not the stacker cart.

  • Another thing I've noticed that you could possibly ask your tech about.

There is a stacker NVM procedure that calibrates the stacker, try seeing if they can show you how to run it.

Also, if you have multiple stacker carts, they may vary minutely and can cause stacking issues. Sounds dumb, but I have solved stacking problems before just by changing my cart out (since the stacker was calibrated with one cart in and not the other.)

If you have more problems next best bet is to send to the top tray. I have been able to run 20x14 18pt C2S through my stacker and it was fine, however.

    Peels,

    Just make a shim.
Say 5 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches thick, place it on the stacker cart about 4 inches from the right side. Also make sure the reg belts are not smooth or worn out.

Thanks for the responses...I appreciate it.

Another idea I have is to remove the side cover on the stacker (which I did to have a look) and make a flat stacker so I can run more than 20 sheets at a time. But I'm sure there's a few sensors to disable? Id really like not to have to buy something extra for the machine to run a job that amounts to 750-1000 sheets a week. :) For now, just running it to top tray is just fine.
