Hello everyone, I'm having trouble saving the counter after turning the computer off and on again. I've tried replacing the CMOS battery on the motherboard but it didn't work. I haven't dared to replace the battery on the SMS motherboard yet because I'm afraid it might cause program loss. Can anyone help me? Thank you!

Write at least the year of manufacture of the machine. There are at least 5 versions of the software.

what is the Nr machine and serial?, normally there is a plate with the ID from your machine at printing unit 1 delivery side B side, you can find as well this machine number and serial at the first page of the wiring diagrams or maybe the most precise Nr and serial is on the label from the software box enclosed to machine.

this is a very old machine, serial 718!!! it is very probably the hard disk has corrupt data or the software installation for leitstand is defective. there is a file where the counter is saved zaehler.dat maybe is defective. but there is another possibility the MMS master has the real time clock defective must be its internal battery is dead!!!

Replace the Dallas chip

I’m hesitant to try replacing the CMOS battery on the MMS because I’m worried it might affect the program or cause other issues.
Have you ever replaced them? Could you share your experience with that?

Just change it. No programming problems. No battery on this board. Only in the Dallas chip.
I have changed more than 10 pcs.
Dallas has 3 modifications. The last one does not work. Search for DS1287A
